Here’s How to find out the Company Culture, before joining the Company:
- Find out what people are working on
Knowing the high priority work can help you determine how content you’ll be there. If the work makes you snore, that’s a red flag. Make sure what people are working on are things that make you excited and pumped to join the team.
- Does what the company recognize match what you value? Employee behaviors that are rewarded define the company culture. Here’s how that works: what gets recognized gets repeated. Actions that are repeated become habits and habits become the character of a company. Boom!!
- For your potential boss: What are you working on that you’re really passionate about? Listen closely to the answer and see if matches what you’re passionate about. Hopefully it does and this will be a match made in organizational heaven.
- Test drive the organization for the day. You’ll get a feel for the company culture, the dynamics of employees and see whether you can envision yourself as a part of the team.
